How to Play

You run the library for one week, Monday to Friday. Each day lasts two minutes, 9 AM to 5 PM. New stations open as the week goes on, and patrons get busier and less patient each day.

Click (or tap) a station to walk there and help. A red ! marks stations that need you. You can only click a station when there is something to do there, and you can't queue the same station twice in a row. You can queue up to 5 stops; numbers show the order. One visit helps everyone waiting at that station.

• Service Desk: check out patrons waiting in line and hand out guest passes. You help them automatically while standing there.
• Public Tables: clear trash and left-behind books so the next patron can sit.
• Stacks: put away the books you are carrying, and help patrons who are looking for something. You can carry 20 books at a time.
• Book Drop: empty it before it fills up, then shelve those books. Patrons who find it full leave unhappy.
• Plants: water them before they dry out. A wilted plant costs points.
• Study Rooms (from Tuesday) and the Conference Room (from Thursday): let patrons in, and let them out when they knock.
• Deliveries (from Tuesday): a courier drops boxes by the service desk. Carry them to the Staff Room, 4 at a time. Boxes left by the desk make the desk line impatient.
• Restrooms (from Wednesday): keep them clean or patrons won't go in.
• Public Computers and Printer (from Wednesday): patrons get a guest pass at the service desk, then use a computer. Some get stuck and need help at the computer, and some jam the printer and need you to fix it.

The bar over a patron is their patience. Help them quickly for more points. If it runs out, they leave unhappy and you lose points.

At 5 PM the library closes. No new patrons come in, and the day ends once you've helped everyone still inside. You earn a bonus for the day's satisfaction: the share of patrons who left happy.

After each day, pick a perk from three choices, like Running Sneakers or a Library Cat. Perks last for the rest of the week. After Friday, save your score to the leaderboard.
